Lauren and Ben--Couple Session--Gates Co--Northeastern NC Photographer

Lauren is from my home town of RR, so I immediately felt a connection with her. Add to that the fact that she is a budding photographer and we hit it off. You can visit her Facebook photography page here: HERE She contacted me because her and her husband were celebrating their 1st anniversary together and wanted a session to celebrate that. They live in beautiful Gates County, NC and decided to have their session there. Within 5 minutes into our session, I stepped on a snake! I had just finished telling them that if I ever scream and start running it's probably because of a snake.. and BAM..I step on one! (It was a super tiny snake.. but hey.. to me.. a snake is a snake.) We had a blast discovering new locations and walking through the woods. The absolute highlight was the canoe pictures. These two are UBER talented at NOT flipping a canoe over (especially when I kept making them move all around and switch their positions) Here are some of my favorites from their session :)

Daniel and Carrie's Engagement Session--Elizabeth City, NC--Northeastern NC Photographer

Daniel is my oldest cousin (only by 8 months....but he's still older) and we grew up together. As babies we flipped over strollers, as kids we spent every summer vacation down at the OBX together and as adults we ended up living in the same town all these years later. Needless to say, he's pretty special to me....He's family. He is getting married to a sweet, easy going and gorgeous girl named Carrie. She had a clear idea of what she wanted out of her engagement session (p.s. I LOVE that) including locations already picked out. Most of the time, locations are only a small factor in your session but when the location is special to you, then it plays a much bigger factor. One of the locations was her late grandfather's garage. They had a pretty special connection so it was important to her to have some of the session take place there. I wish these two all the happiness in the world as they tie the knot next year! Enjoy some of my favorites from the session...featured below.

Caroline's Bridal Portraits--Elizabeth City, NC--Northeastern NC Photographer

I have been waiting to share these bridal portraits for several weeks now and I am beyond excited to finally get to share them! Caroline is a classic beauty. She has porcelain skin, gorgeous green eyes and a megawatt smile! Her parents are blessed to live down by the river and I couldn't have asked for a better location to shoot Caroline's bridals. Her mom and dad were there to help with the task of keeping her gorgeous lace dress clean and helping her move from one location to another without falling. I can't say enough about her beautiful lace dress and her killer pumps....this girl has impeccable taste! (I had to fight the urge to grab the pumps and run.. but I restrained myself thankfully and finished the session) I hope you enjoy my favorites from Caroline's session below :)
