Rena--Class of 2013--Senior Session-- Northeastern NC Photographer

Last week, I met up with Rena. She is a Senior at one of the local high schools and has such a bright future in front of her! This girl has it together... She brought 4 outfits with specific shoes and jewelry to go with each one..She could not have been more prepared. Every.Single.Outfit was awesome! (As a general rule..The more outfits you bring.. the better) This particular day...the flies (biting flies) were out in full force..and they wanted to be in the pictures too. But she was cool, calm and collected..even with them photo bombing our pictures. I loved meeting you and having your gorgeous face in front of my camera!

Chelsea--Just Because Session--Northeastern NC Photographer

I've known Chelsea since she was 7...with her long brown hair, freckles and glasses. She was around the same age as my younger brother and they would run the neighborhood. The two little stinkers actually let a hamster loose in my room one day. (It ended up in my shoe and ran out when I was picking out which shoes to wear....that was traumatic)

Flash forward to now.. She is all grown up. Independent. Gorgeous. and STILL as mischievous as ever. She has Violet/Blue eyes that you could just swim in. (She got them from her mama)

She drove down from the beach for a "Just because/Glamour Session". She brought clothes...and I brought some too. I knew exactly what type of look I wanted for one of the outfits..I've been dreaming about it actually. That poofy skirt was one I wore to prom in the 10th grade (My mom made it). So the skirt, lace top and some fresh picked roses were used for our "glamour" portion of the shoot.

Three ticks and a couple of large spiders later...we have some beautiful portraits to show for it.

CM Blog Circle--April 2013--Shooting through glass--Personal

April's theme was "Shooting through Glass". I went all month long thinking about this challenge. I wanted to do something different...fresh....and fun. I did take some pictures from outside my house looking in... and it just wasn't working for me. We had to post our links tonight..and I had nothing. Not one thing...then I saw my rockin' new glasses after getting out of the shower...and hollered for my youngin'...and this is what we did.
